Session Notes & NPC Log

A campaign journal that remembers what the table forgets. Log each session, keep a running list of every NPC your party meets, track the loot — all saved in this browser, and yours to export as Markdown any time.

2. Session log
3. NPC log

4. Loot & quests

Everything on this page lives in this browser only — nothing is uploaded. Export to Markdown now and then so your campaign history has a copy you own.

Every campaign has a memory problem

Somewhere around session six, it happens: the party returns to town, someone says "let's go see… that innkeeper — the one who owes us," and the whole table goes quiet. Nobody wrote it down, or somebody did and the notebook's at home. Campaigns generate names, debts, rumors, and unidentified swords faster than any table's collective memory can hold them.

The NPC list is the heart of it

Prose notes are great for what happened; they're terrible for looking up a name mid-session. That's why the NPC log is its own list — name plus one line about who they are — with a filter box for the moment someone asks. Add the name the moment the game master says it, and future-you is covered.

Write less, keep more

A session entry here is just a date and a text box. No templates to fill in, no fields fighting you — a few sentences about what happened is worth more than the elaborate journal you'd abandon by session three. The entries stack newest-first, so last session's cliffhanger is always at the top when you sit back down.

Your notes are yours — literally

Everything stays in your browser's local storage: no account, no cloud, nothing sent anywhere. The flip side is that clearing your browser data clears the journal, so the export button matters — one click turns the whole campaign into a Markdown file with every session, NPC, and loot item. Plain text, readable anywhere, pasteable into Notion or Obsidian if your campaign outgrows this page.

Where are my campaign notes stored?

In your browser's local storage, on your own device. Nothing is uploaded anywhere and there's no account. That also means clearing your browser data erases them — use the Markdown export now and then to keep a copy you own.

Can I keep notes for more than one campaign?

Yes. Create as many campaigns as you like and switch between them from the campaign picker — each keeps its own session log, NPC list, and loot list.

Can I get my notes out of the tool?

Yes — one click exports the whole campaign as a Markdown file: every session entry with its date, the full NPC list, and your loot and quest items. It's plain text, so it opens anywhere and pastes cleanly into Notion, Obsidian, or a plain document.

Is this campaign journal free?

Yes — free, no ads, no signup, and it runs entirely in your browser. Your notes stay on your own device.
