Loot Generator

The chest is open and the party is staring at you. One click produces treasure with texture — what it is, what's odd about it, and the history that makes someone at the table ask whose it was. Mechanics are your call; this handles the part players remember.

Treasure players remember isn't a number

Nobody tells stories about the 200 gold pieces. They tell stories about the dented crown that hums near water, the ring sized for something with too many fingers. This generator builds that kind of loot: an object, the detail that makes it specific, and the history that makes it a question.

System-free on purpose

No plus-ones, no rarity tiers, no rules text — partly because mechanics belong to your system, and mostly because unexplained objects are more fun. Decide after the party gets attached whether the humming crown is magic, cursed, valuable, or just haunted-adjacent.

The history line is a quest in disguise

Every piece comes with a past — an owner, a place, an unresolved implication. Players pull on those threads voluntarily, which is the cheapest session prep there is: the loot from last week quietly becomes the plot of next week.

Why doesn't the loot have stats or prices?

Deliberately — every table and system prices treasure differently, and rules text belongs to your rulebook. The generator handles description, texture, and history; you assign the mechanics your game needs, if any.

Is this loot from any published game's treasure tables?

No — every object, detail, and history line is original invented content written for this generator. Use anything it produces freely at your table.

Is this loot generator free?

Yes — free, no ads, no signup, and it runs entirely in your browser. Kept loot is stored only on your own device.
